EXERCISES AND FEEDBACK

To try an exercise:

read the instructions carefully

type in a solution in the submission box

and press the Submit button

After the system has finished processing your submission, the main screen displays the result of the submission. If the submission was correct, the system confirms that immediately; if the submission was incorrect, the system displays the type of error(s) (compilation or execution), provides submission-specific feedback (ŇOur analysis of codeÓ), and show the compiler messages. Compiler messages displayed in red are clickable; the system displays a pop-up window giving more information on those messages.

There are four buttons available: Previous/Next (to navigate through the course structure), Print (to print the screen), and Feedback (to send feedback to Turing's Craft).

There are also tabs above the main work area, on the green background. The first tab is WORK AREA; clicking it will get you to the instructions and submission box. The next one is Result, which takes you to the results screen. The last one, if available, is Solution; clicking this tab will display our solution to the exercise. (Sometimes there's a fourth, called Output-- check out the Secret Features document to read about that.)
